Omdat in onze streek de packetlinks tussen de nodes regelmatig uitvallen, is een verbinding met een cluster regelmatig onmogelijk.
Sinds een tijd heb ik in de shack een PC met ADSL-internet zodat de cluster connecten via telnet steeds mogelijk is. Maar een telnetvenster is niet echt gebruiksvriendelijk en niet alle clusters werken met een Java-aplet.
Gelukkig biedt Wpp hiervoor een oplossing !
Via de tcp/ip mogelijkheid van Wpp kan ik een verbinding maken met een telnet DXCluster . ( dx.ea7urc.org : 41112 ) en nog vele andere !
De verbinding draait al een ganse dag zonder disconnect Freude
Enige schoonheidsfoutje is dat je bij tcp/ip verbindingen niet de mogelijkheid hebt om de extra info uit "dxc.erg" op het scherm te krijgen. traurig

Hoi Tonny,

Weet jij waarom ik alles in het Turks op het scherm krijg.
Ik denk dat de P van mijn roepletters verward wordt met de P in een Turkse callsign.
Ik kan ook mijn profiel niet veranderen want alles staat in het Turks.
Ik kan ook WWP nog niet downloaden.

Wat een puinhoop maken ze ervan. HI großes Grinsen

Hallo Tonny,

Nogmaals een bericht van mij.
Het is gelukt om de taal te veranderen maar het is wel zoeken op de site want het is niet erg overzichtelijk.
Ik zal het DX-Cluster ook een connecten.
Je kunt eens proberen om PI1HVS te bereiken en dan PI8NOS type dan FOX <enter> en je bent verbonden met mijn Telpacnode.
Kijk ook eens bij Winlink daar gebeuren ook leuke dingen met Packet en Pactor.
E-mail over radio via een Telpacnode is even simpel als WWP.
Een Telpacnode zet je ook op in tien minuten.

Nog veel plezier met packet.
